Informal Settlements Inclusivity in Affordable Housing
A section of stakeholders drawn from informal settlements in five counties on Friday engaged a team from Kenya Informal Settlement Improvement Project 2 (KISIP2) to review, validate and adopt a key document aimed at enhancing physical development within the selected areas.
This follows a successful finalization and preparation of draft local physical, land use and social management plans for Aramaget, Kabichbich, Shimo la Tewa, Nangeni, Ndhiwa and Kijijini Kendu Bay informal settlements.
The settlements are located within the five counties of Siaya, Homa Bay, Bungoma, Trans Nzoia and West Pokot where KISIP 2 project is currently supporting.
The recently concluded forum currently spearheaded by members drawn from KISIP2 Sub Component 1.1, commenced on Monday, July 3, 2023 and is expected to go on until Friday, July 14, 2023.
