Innocent Mugabe Celebrates Milestone Achievements as MP for Likuyani
Innocent Mugabe, the MP for Likuyani, proudly announced his recognition as the second-best performing MP in Kakamega County and third among 33 constituencies in the western region. This commendation reflects a series of impactful initiatives implemented in recent months.
Under the #NuruGizana Electrification Program, Mugabe’s office has optimized 15 transformers and installed new ones, successfully connecting over 1,300 households to the national grid. This vital infrastructure development has significantly improved access to electricity for many residents.
In the education sector, Mugabe launched the #ElimuKwanza initiative, resulting in the near completion of 32 new classrooms across the constituency. Significant upgrades at local schools include a modern generator for St. John Likuyani Boys and renovations at several primary and secondary schools, ensuring a conducive learning environment for students.
Mugabe is also addressing security concerns with the ongoing construction of a new Nzoia Police Station and the renovation of police housing in Mabusi. These enhancements aim to bolster safety and security for residents.
Recognizing the importance of youth empowerment, Mugabe highlighted the Innocent Mugabe Foundation’s 12th cohort of the EPZ program, which creates job opportunities for the youth, including partnerships for teaching positions abroad.
Additionally, the inaugural Likuyani Education Creaming program, funded by the Innocent Mugabe Foundation, is set to improve student performance and academic results across the constituency.
Infrastructure development remains a priority, with enhancements to the road network through grading and murraming to facilitate smoother transport for residents.
Mugabe has been a strong advocate for local issues, especially in education and tourism policy, working diligently to ensure prudent use of public funds and the growth of the tourism sector.
Looking ahead, Mugabe announced plans to deliver school buses, commence construction of two modern eight-story classrooms, extend the #NuruGizana initiative, and repair roads affected by recent rains before the end of the year.
