It’s okay if you don’t know how to move on- Benjamin Zulu

It’s okay if you don’t know how to move on. This is a new space and it’s only human to feel a little confused and blurry. But perhaps the first step is to make up your mind that you’re not going back.

This is because you will never forge a way forward if you keep looking back in hesitation. Perhaps you’ve reached here before and ended up going back because you never ruled out retreating and returning to the same place.

Sometimes we must burn bridges to prevent ourselves from using them again. The negotiation between pains of the past and possibilities of the future can be difficult especially when you badly wanted things to turn out differently. But being dreamy and in denial won’t help things except holding you back. It’s good to have hope and commitment but it’s also important to have realism and resilience to adjust when people turn against us.
