JK Tanui concedes to William Kisang
Elgeyo Marakwet County Senatorial aspirant has conceded defeat in the just concluded UDA party nominations.
The nominations were won by William Kisang who will replace Kipchumba Murkomen who has appointed CS Roads.
“I express my gratitude to you, great people of Elgeyo Marakwet, for turning up in large numbers to vote for me as your next senator, losing on a small margin. Though we didn’t make it this time round, we shall live to fight another day in this or another portfolio,” said JK Tanui.
He wished Kisang all the best in his new role.
“I take this opportunity to wish Hon William Kisang the best as he forges on in the next phase of campaigns and as he prepares to serve Elgeyo Marakwet as the second senator. I offer my talents, leadership skills, and networks toward a better-united county where all children feel at home.
I also express sincere gratitude to all my competitors led by Tim. That was a uniquely spirited competition in a quest to lead EMC. I wish you all well,” he added.
He says he fully subscribes to the ideals of the Party leader President William Samoei Ruto and the UDA party’s bottom-up economic model that dedicates to changing the lives of Kenyans.
“I reaffirm my selfless commitment to the service of the great people of Soy South Ward; tightened my belts and shoelaces for bigger, better resources mobilization agendas, project oversight, representation, and legislation towards the betterment of lives. In this second phase, _hakuna tafadhali; we must make history as one of the most rapidly developed wards in Kenya in the 10 years period 2017-2027. “
