Joy as ACK St. Luke Primary and Junior Secondary School Birbiriet Sends 72 Students to National Schools

ACK St. Luke Primary and Junior Secondary School in Birbiriet in Nandi has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to academic excellence, achieving a remarkable mean score of 397 in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).
According to the senior head Teacher Mrs. Emily Kiptoo HSC, the outstanding performance surpasses the previous year’s 384, marking the school’s best results since its inception in 2000.
Mrs. Kiptoo attributes the school’s success to a combination of factors, including the dedication and hard work of its students, teachers, and support staff.
“I want to applaud parents, the Board of Management (BOM), the Ministry of Education through the Nandi County Director of Education Mr Harrison Muriuki, and the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in providing the necessary resources and support to ensure the school’s continued growth and development,” said Mrs. Kiptoo.
The senior head teacher was recently feted by UNESCO and President William Ruto for her visionary leadership and exemplary performance.
“We are promising that as a school we will continue working hard even with the introduction of CBC we will not compromise on the quality of education. We will continue being the best ,” she added.
She says the school’s exceptional achievement is particularly notable given its large student population of 700.
“Of the 122 KCPE candidates who sat for the exams, a remarkable 72 secured coveted placements in national schools, while 50 earned admission to extra-county schools,” she noted.
This outstanding performance highlights the school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing the talents of its students and preparing them for success in future endeavors.
In recognition of the school’s outstanding performance, Curriculum Support Officer Irene Talam emphasized the importance of consulting teachers before purchasing CBC books.
“Parents should ensure that their children have access to the correct resources for their learning,” she advised.
Nandi County Director of Education Muriuki Harrison extended his heartfelt congratulations to the ACK St. Luke Primary and Junior Secondary School for its exemplary performance.
“We are here with other Education stakeholders to celebrate the exemplary performance posted by this school. It is not easy to take 72 students to National schools and 50 to Extra- extra-county schools, this is something that has not happened in many schools. Kudos to them,” said the Nandi County Director of Education.
“I want to call upon all well-wishers to assist the school in putting up good infrastructure because the facilities are humble we need to improve facilities for more students to be helped,” he said.
