Just because you don’t require a lot from your lovers doesn’t mean you deserve the bare minimum
Just because you don’t require a lot from your lovers doesn’t mean you deserve the bare minimum. You’re easy to live with because you’re considerate and contented, but it doesn’t mean someone should ride on that to shortchange you. You’re not demanding but you still have needs.
You should ensure to date only people who love like you do; without coercion and friction.
If you’re the kind of person who reaches out regularly, who gives people time when they need it without pestering or getting upset, if you’re easy to forgive and let go, you deserve someone who loves the same way.
The next best thing after you’ve decided to become an emotionally mature and pleasant person is to only associate with those who have done a similar decision. Why would you go through all that process of personal transformation only to pick up an emotionally stunted and complicated grown up who makes your life unbearable?
Self love has two phases: working on yourself and protecting yourself from others who haven’t done the same.
