Kajiado Deputy Governor Shines
Kajiado Deputy Governor Martine Mosisho does a good job.
Here’s why:
“Together with the CEC For Water and Irrigation Pro. Leina Mpoke, officials from world vision and KOICA I launched the commissioning of the seed project in Enkongu E njoro springs in Maparasha Hills.
The seed project is a five year project that will be implemented by World Vision in partnership with our County Government, through funds from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
This seeks to enhance the resilience of communities to the adverse effects of climate change, mainly prolonged droughts that have perennially affected families in Kajiado County.
This will be done through afforestation and reforestation initiatives in Maparasha Hills aimed at increasing tree cover in the area so as to restore degraded land and safeguard Enkongu E Njoro water catchment area. These activities will lead to improved soil fertility, as well as increased pasture and grazing land.
This initiative will be also be done in Oldonyo Orok Hills and Nkurman in Magadi Ward.”
