Kakamega Team in Kisii on a Learning Experience in Tea Industry
Kakamega County Deputy Governor H.E Hon Ayub Savula on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on Kisii County Governor Simba Arati at his offices in Kisii Town.
Savula expressed gratitude to Governor Arati for the hospitality accorded and assured him, on behalf of Governor Fernandes Barasa, of cordial inter-county relations aimed at improving the living standards of the residents.
The visit of the County in his capacity as the CECM for Trade, Industrialization and Tourism together with a delegation from Kakamega County saw them visit Sombogo and Matunu tea factories.
This will form an evaluation process for the revival of Shinyalu Tea Factory in Shinyalu Sub-County.
Later in the day the Deputy Governor closed a two day induction program for all CECMs facilitated by COSEKE KENYA that is aimed at digitalising the County Cabinet sessions. The paperless sessions will guarantee confidentiality in Cabinet resolutions.
