KEMSA Boss Promises Improved Services
Kenya Medical Supplies Authority has shown new improvement within an year since the new reign of chief executive officer Terry Ramadhan.
Following the suspension of former Chief executive officer (CEO) Jonah Manjari who was sent home over the scandal of missing 400million shillings that was allocated for the authority
Ramadhan says that she is now focusing on reforming operation that will enable them to supply medicine and medical equipments to different counties faster.
“Medicine cannot be stored or patient can not wait for two weeks for medicine to arrive thus medicine should always be available. “says the CEO KEMSA
According to Ramadhan,t hey have marked out in a positive way for seeking solution and collaboration with the local government agency to improve services to help Kenyans.
“We are parternring with USAID, ministry of health and other stakeholders to collaborate in order to engage in seeking solution to the problems.”Says Ramadhan
KEMSA which has been on the lime light since the past years about missing money that was allocated leading to the sacking of 900 employees following Ksh.7.8 billion during COVID_19 pandemic.
Ramadhan says contracts will not be renewed upon each employee since a contract usually last upon its end of lifespan.
