Kenya-Indonesia Trade Ties Strengthened

On Thursday, an Indonesian delegation and their Kenyan counterparts convened to explore potential areas of trade, collaboration, and investment.
At hand during the icebreaker session was the able Kenivest Managing Director June Chepkemei.

These talks were inspired by a shared vision of growth and economic prosperity for both countries.

The Indonesian team, SRITEX, and Combiphar emphasize the importance of collaboration and partnership for mutual growth and development between Kenya and Indonesia.
In 2021, Kenya exported $18.1M to Indonesia. The main products that Kenya exported to Indonesia are Cocoa Beans ($9.37M), Tea ($5.32M), and Tanned Sheep Hides ($2.11M). During the last 26 years the exports of Kenya to Indonesia have increased at an annualized rate of 7.5%, from $2.76M in 1995 to $18.1M in 2021.
In 2021, Kenya did not export any services to Indonesia.

INDONESIA-KENYAIn 2021, Indonesia exported $580M to Kenya. The main products that Indonesia exported to Kenya were Palm Oil ($457M), Hot-Rolled Iron Bars ($22.7M), and Stearic Acid ($17.9M). During the last 26 years the exports of Indonesia to Kenya have increased at an annualized rate of 14.5%, from $17.3M in 1995 to $580M in 2021.
