Kenyans Congratulates Donald Trump For Winning US Elections

In a significant turn of events, former U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed victory in the 2024 presidential election. Many leaders and prominent Kenyans have taken to social media to express their congratulations.

President William Ruto led Kenyans in congratulating Trump on his closely contested win against the incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris. President Ruto, in his message to the U.S. president-elect, expressed Kenya’s readiness to collaborate with Trump for the sustainable development of both countries.

“Your victory is a testament to the firm resolve of the American people to place confidence in your visionary, bold, and innovative leadership,” Ruto said. He added, “As you embark on this phase of your leadership journey, Kenya stands ready to further enhance our cooperation on matters of mutual interest, including trade, investment, technology & innovation, peace and security, and sustainable development.”

Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro, who also chairs the Budget Committee in the National Assembly, celebrated Trump’s win as the 47th President of the United States. Nyoro remarked that Republican policies have historically been favorable to African countries and the Global South. He expressed hope that Trump would ensure that U.S. domestic policies do not disrupt international business and politics.

“Congratulations Donald J. Trump, the 45th and 47th President of the USA. Make America Great Again. Republican policies have always been better for Africa and the Global South. Going forward, the USA must responsibly exercise its power, considering the primacy of the dollar as the reserve currency. Their domestic actions should not cause undue disruptions to other countries,” Nyoro stated. He also noted, “The global economy will definitely be better with imminent monetary easing under Trump.”

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who was removed from office, also took to his X account to praise Trump’s win and wish him success in his return to office. Gachagua noted that Trump’s victory was a clear testament to resilience.

“Congratulations, President Donald Trump, on one of the greatest political comebacks of our generation. Your victory is clear proof that resilience and a never-say-die attitude will always TRUMP obstacles on the path to destiny,” wrote the former second-in-command.
