Kenyans React after Didmus Barasa Proposed Oscar Sudi to Take Over From Retired President Kenyatta Peace Envoy Role

Kenyans have reacted after Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa proposed that Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi take over regional peace talks from President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He wrote “H.E William Samoei Ruto if Our former President is not willing to take up the regional Peace talks role, let Oscar Kipchumba Sudi do,’

This comes after retired president Uhuru Kenyatta skipped peace talks between the Ethiopian Government and rebel group Tigray People’s Liberation Front citing conflicts in his schedule.

President Ruto appointed former president Uhuru Kenyatta as peace envoy to the Horn and Great Lakes region.

Barasa who was elected on a UDA party ticket is a staunch supporter of President William Ruto’s administration.

He is also a big critique of the retired president Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga’s bid.

His post received mixed reactions here are some of their comments.

Justus Emase says “The President Retired Peacefully. Oscar Sudi and Moses Kuria can Go and represent. A sound mind like Uhuru can’t work with people insulting Him,”
