Kenyans Urged to be Peace Ambassadors

Kenyans have been urged to be peace ambassadors before, during and after the August polls.

Speaking to the press Rev Phellister Tuwei from Reformed Church of East Africa Waunifor said this will ensure the country has a peaceful elections.

“I want to call Kenyans across the County to be peace ambassadors as we are heading to the next August polls since election is just a one day affair and after that we will continue with our day to day activities. Let us maintain peace since we don’t have an alternative country,” says Rev. Tuwei.

She also called on politicians to stop using incitive words that will divide them basing on their political and tribal affiliations.

“Let politicians measure the words they say without talking since one word can destroy the whole Country.I urge politicians to be peace ambassadors and be on the forefront in preaching peace since we have enough a life after elections,” she said.

She warned youths against being used by politicians to cause violence and should instead be ambassadors of peace.

“I want to call upon youths from allover the country that as we head towards the August polls let’s be ambassadors of peace at should at all costs avoid being used by politicians to cause violence since its their future that they are destroying,” she says.

“Youths let’s not allow ourselves to be used since we are the one who suffer. The only gift which we can give to Kibaki is to ensure we have peaceful elections,” he added.


She called on Kenyans to turn up in large numbers and vote since it’s their democratic right of choosing leaders of their choice.

“After voting pear let’s go home and wait for the IEBC to announce winners and let’s accept the results,” she added.
