Kesses MP Dr Swarup Mishra Empowers Nandet Women Group from Cheptiret
Kesses member of parliament Dr Swarup Mishra on Monday touched the lives of Nandet Women Group from Cheptiret.
This comes after the Kesses legislator donated full cereals store items to them.
Speaking during the event at his office, the kesses member of parliament said that his leadership is aimed at empowering electorates financially for them to earn something and be independent.
“I was very touched with what the Nandet Women Group from Cheptiret were doing in making sure that ends meet, that’s why today I decided to donate full Cereal Store items which include Rice, Beans, soya, Ndengu Maize, sorghum and Wheat amounting to 3.5 Tones,” said the Kesses legislator.
The Kesses legislator who is serving his first term in office is among the best performing members of parliament who has empowered women, people with disability, and youths financially.
He said empowering a woman is empowering a home. Hon Mishra is the denominator of Empowerment in Kesses and beyond.
The chairlady of the women group thanked thee Kesses member f parliament for coming to their rescue saying thye were badly hit by the effects of coronavirus.
“We want to thank our abled member of parliament for helping us with this cereal Store items, this will help us earn a living thus improve our livelihoods. Thank you very much mheshimiwa and we assure you of our votes in the forthcoming elections,” she said.
“You are a jewel in which we don’t want to lose who have touched the lives of almost every person regardless of their tribal and political affiliations, what I can say is May God bless you abundantly,” another one added.
The Kesses legislator also empowered Mama mbogas with stock to enable them to boost their daily small business.
