Kimumu Ward MCA Aspirant Norbert Kipkemboi Bolts Out of the Race Due to This Reasons
Kimumu Ward MCA aspirant Norbert Kipkemboi Ng’etich has bolted out of the race amid pressure from the elders and the youth from Kimumu who wants him to contest as an independent candidate if not via the county’s populous UDA.
“We will vote for you even as an independent candidate, we know he is a good leader and capable of taking this Ward to greater heights, in the recent past we had jokers as our leaders but with him is tried and tested” Kimumu ward residents said.
Speaking to the press Ng’etich said this is due to personal engagements.
“I want to announce today that I will not be vying for the Kimumu Ward seat in the August 2022 general election due to personal engagements that could not allow me to vie for the seat,” said Norbert while speaking to the press.
He further thanked his supporters saying that he will remain loyal to them and he continues working for them.
“I will not contest in this year’s elections, but I will remain loyal to you, I will continue to champion for the better services and good leadership that accommodates us all, I will support the government of the day, I’m sorry for disappointing you, I’m away but not far” he added.
He called on residents to elect good and credible leaders who will take the ward in front inform of development.
“As we are heading to the next elections let’s elect leaders of substance who are development-oriented and should show signs of good leadership,” he added.
He further called on youths not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to cause violence in the forthcoming general election.
“I want to call upon youths across the Country this time round let’s avoid politicians who want to use us for their political gain, instead youths should register as voters so that they may elect leaders of substance that will help them,” he added.
