Kinyanjui Wa Kamau Installed as Uasin Gishu Agikuyu Spokesperson
Kinyanjui wa Kamau has been installed as Uasin Gishu Kikuyu Spokesperson.
He replaces the deceased Kamunu wa Kabari who died after a long Ilness.
Speaking after he was installed Kamau thanked the elders for believing in his leadership.
“I want to thank the elders for believing in my leadership and I promise that I will work around that clock to ensure that Agikuyu community living in Uasin Gishu speak in one voice,” said the incoming Agikuyu spokesperson while speaking to the press.
He said his first assignment will be to preach peace as the Country is heading to the 2022 general elections.
“As you know we are heading to the 2022 general elections ,I will ensure that all communities living in Uasin Gishu have a good relationship with the Agikuyu since they are the ones who were badly affected by the post election violence,” he added .
He further warned leaders against spreading hate mesages basing on their tribal and political affiliations.
“It’s sad that leaders have started spreading hate mesages ahead of the fourthcoming 2022 elections, for heaven sake let’s preach peace for us to have a peaceful election,” he said.
The Chairman of the Diaspora Agikuyu community Joseph Wainaina said the installation was not political and was only meant to give the community a leader who will guide them.
“I want to assure that Agikuyu community living in Uasin Gishu that this is not a political position but only meant to give the community their leader after Kamunu wa Kabari passed on, ” he said.
