More than 800 students from primary, secondary and tertiary colleges thronged the Kitale Museum on Friday, a week after it was officially handed over to the Trans Nzoia county administration.

The museum, a popular destination for learners, attracted a high number of students due to its vast collection of historical artifacts and exhibits.

In a bid to further enhance its appeal, county officials are planning to establish an animal orphanage at the museum and expand the existing reptile park. These initiatives are aimed at attracting more tourists, especially students and domestic visitors.
