National Secretary General and Chief Executive Officer at Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists and Dentists Union Davji Bhimji Atellah recently had an impactful meeting with Homa-Bay County doctors.

He says,”We delved into pressing concerns which include: promotions overdue, statutory deductions pending for 2+ years, contractual issues, staff shortages, arbitrary payroll removals, and delayed salaries (some up to 6 months).

Regrettably, these unaddressed challenges compelled us to commence a strike which is on day 3.

In the face of adversity, unity is our greatest asset. We urge our members to stand together, showcasing the strength of our solidarity. Through collective action, we can overcome these hurdles and foster a more conducive environment for all healthcare professionals as we strive for a better healthcare future.”
