KMPDU Calls Upon the Government To Beefup Security in Elgeyo Marakwet

The Kenya Medical Practioners,and Dentists Union(KMPDU) North Rift Officials have called for the restoration of security in the Elgeiyo Marakwet and Baringo counties.
Speaking to the press in Eldoret town Northrift Branch Secretary Mulei Kamonzi said lives of the doctors and other health care workers are at stake.
They were speaking in Eldoret town by North Rift Branch Secretary,Mulei Kamonzi and Chairperson Darwin Ambuka.
“We want to urge the county government of Elgeyo Marakwet, Baringo and West Pokot to deploy more doctors,to employ more specialists,train more specialists in terms of general surgeons, surgeons,asergygist so that they can be able to to meet the emergencies that might happen in future,”KMPDU North Rift Secretary Mulei Kamonzi said.
He urged the county governments to look for best ways of ensuring people from insecure areas access the health services.
“We are here today to show displeasure in what is going on in Elgeyo Marakwet,we have seen the vulnerable group which are the student,the teachers and the locals of Elgeiyo Marakwet suffering under the hand of bandits,”said KMPDU Chairperson Darwin Ambuka.
