KOICA II Commissioned: 100,000 Residents to Benefit from Improved Water Supply

In a significant milestone for residents of Mt. Elgon, Kabuchai, and Kanduyi Sub Counties, access to clean and safe water has been elevated with the inauguration of the KOICA II water project. Nearly 100,000 individuals in these areas will now have steady access to this essential resource, marking a turning point in their daily lives.

The Chepyuk-Kibabii water project, officially commissioned by His Excellency Yeo Sung-Jun, the South Korean Ambassador to Kenya, alongside Governor Kenneth Lusaka, heralds a new era of improved living standards for the region. This collaborative effort between the Republic of Korea and the County government of Bungoma underscores the power of international partnerships in addressing critical development needs.

With an investment of KSh 600 Million from the Korean government, the project stands as a testament to the commitment of both nations to fostering sustainable solutions for communities in need.
