Langas MCA Francis Muya express concern over plan to lease JKIA

Plans by the government to lease the Jomo Kenyatta International Airpoirt continues to attract criticisms from political leaders.
The latest to add his voice on the controversial deal is Langas Member of County Assmebly Francis Muya.
In a media briefing in Eldoret, Muya who is also the Uasin Gishu Jubilee Party chairperson said it will be big mistake for the government to lease the airport.
According to the MCA, such a deal might lead to many workers losing their jobs.
JKIA the largest and the busiest airport in East Africa.
“What the government is trying to do is not right,’ Muya said.
The MCA who doubles up as the Uasin Gishu County Assmebly leader of the minority asked the National Assembly and the Senate to ensure such a deal is not approved.
“It’s the high time for the National Government which is led by President William Ruto to be told that what they are doing is wrong and we as Kenyans cant accept it,” he said.
Reports indicate that the government is at an advanced stage to enter a Public-Private Partnership with Indian-based Adani Group for the renovation of the JKIA.
