Let The Face Appear in Every Conversation: Hon Dido Rasso
The patron of The Kenya Pastoralist Parliamentary Group who also doubles up as The elected member of parliament for Saku Constituency in Marsabit County, Hon. Col. (Rtd.) Dido Rasso, has Reiterated the need for more inclusive approach when it comes to addressing matters touching on Pastoralists and ASALs counties.
Hon. Dido Rasso, outspoken, forthright, charismatic and results oriented, rising to speak during a breakfast meeting at the Kenya Agricultural Livestock Research.
Organization (KALRO) in Loresho noted:
“As Members of Parliament we are the ones who are directly in touch with our people at the ground. And that’s where the conversation should start. Our livestock, for example, doesn’t die out of drought. They die out of lack of fodder, which if properly addressed, the massive loss of livelihoods would be a thing of the past,” he observed.
His point of observation was also keen on the importance of facilitating the livestock keepers with restocking especially after suffering magnanimous losses to the drought.
