Lusaka Pledges to Streamline Municipal Functions

Pursuant to Governor Lusaka’s directive to ensure fully functional municipalities in Bungoma County, he has today pledged to streamline both Bungoma and Kimilili municipalities to enhance better service delivery to the people.

In a round table discussion with Municipalities heads drawn from Mukueni Wote and Bungoma Counties , Lusaka emphasized on the need to have a cordial working relationship in the Municipality board management for efficiency and effective service delivery in his day 2 peer benchmarking tour of Makueni County.

“We are here in Makueni County, Wote Municipality for peer benchmarking because of the cumulative success development projects and municipal management systems.

The knowledge and experience we have acquired will help us implement the same in Bungoma County”, affirmed Lusaka.

Makueni County Municipalities are currently ranked as the best performing municipalities a cross the Country in managing World bank and SUED funded projects under the European Union.

“This benchmarking mission is to ensure our municipal boards are capacity build and are exposed to the best practices in managing our municipalities for efficient service delivery to the people of Bungoma”, noted Lusaka.
