The NEMA Director General, Mamo B. Mamo, EBS attended the meeting. This is a five years project and will be implemented by various MDAs in different Counties inUasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Trans Nzoia, West Pokot, Nandi, Kakamega, Kisumu, Kericho, Migori, Homa Bay and Nakuru.
In his remarks, the NEMA Director General emphasized the need to incorporate environmental sustainability and social safeguards aspects in the project. This will ensure the quality of the environment is not compromised. The DG was accompanied by Mr. Wilfred Osumo who is representing the Authority in the project.
