Mandago Presides Over Passing out Parade Ceremony For County Inspectorate and Fire Fighters Officers
Governor Jackson Mandago on Wednesday presided over a Passing out parade ceremony for county inspectorate and fire fighters officers who have been undergoing training at the Chebororwa Agricultural Training College.
Speaking during the ceremony attended by parents, families and relatives of the officers, Mandago said the officers had undergone a training meant to enhance their service delivery to the citizens, dismissing claims that it was a militia training.
He challenged the officers to deliver services to the citizens without fear or favor, noting that with the training, they have no excuse not obeying the law. The officers have been trained on human rights and gender, crime detection and investigation, disaster management, law and county legislation, basic first aid skills, public relations and firefighting management, among other courses.
“I urge those who have graduating to deliver services to the citizens in accordance to the law and their oath of office without fear or favor. The officers have no excuse for nonperformance since they have been trained by the best trainers in the country,” said governor Jackson Mandago.
32 firefighters and 95 inspectorate officers at Chebororwa ATC in Karuna/Meibeki Ward in Moiben Sub County graduated.
The team completed the Inspectorate and Fire Officers Course NO 2 where they were trained on Human Rights and Gender, Community Relations and Communication, Ethics and Governance, and Basic First Aid Skills among other courses.
