Mandera MP Leadership Skills

Mandera South member of parliament Abdul Haro Kore is a very good leader who always observes tenets of dedication, commitment and strong-will.

“The National Assembly’s Education Committee chaired by Hon. Julius Melly (Tinderet) on Thursday embarked on a fact-finding visit at the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) headquarters in Nairobi.

After the tour we held a fruitful consultative engagement with the agency’s top management led by the Council CEO Dr David Njeng’ere and Board Chairperson Prof Julius Nyabundi.

Among a myriad of issues we deliberated on with the management of KNEC is the delay in payment of examiners and teachers who participate in the exams marking exercise as well the thorny issue of replacement of lost or damaged certificates. The Committee also asked KNEC to develop a policy so that those students who are sick or have given birth during national examinations are not forced to sit those exams on their condition but a supplementary be prepared for them as soon as they are stable…

The committee also demanded that KNEC write a joint circular with the Ministry of Education to all schools holding students’ certificates for whatever reasons to release those certificates immediately since it was illegal to continue holding them… The certificates do not belong to the schools but to KNEC…

Happy to report that the management of KNEC promised to address all the issues with the Ministry of Education with the strong intention of resolving them…”
