Mathioya MP Dr. Edwin Mugo is Keen To Uplift Eduation

One of his key campaign manifesto was the lifting up of education standards in his constituency. Hon. Dr. Edwin Mugo is a believer that education is the greatest equalizer you can use as a tool for social transformation.

Cognizant of this fact, Hon. Dr. Edwin Mugo has never looked back since day one when he took the mantle of leadership of this great constituency.

On Friday 17th May 2024, the Hon. Dr. Mugo conducted an ambitious exercise of issuing cheques to Mathioya NG-CDF bursary beneficiaries at Mananga Secondary School.

A total of Ksh 63,685,451.60 was distributed to learners in Day and Boarding Secondary Schools, Tertiary Institutions, as well as Special Schools.
The breakdown was as follows; Day School-4,000/=
Boarding School-7,000/=
Tertiary Institutions-7,000/=
Special Schools-10,000/=
Hon. Dr. Mugo noted:

“Education remains an equalizer in our current times, where land size has drastically reduced, leaving education as the only gift you can give to your daughter or son. This sentiment took center stage in my speech,”

” I will continue to uplift education in Mathioya Constituency through bursaries and infrastructural development, as well as involving other partners in this journey. Mathioya will soon be an academic powerhouse.”
