Moi University Student Commits Suicide, This is Why

Hosea Sifuna a first year student at Moi University passed away after commiting suicide.

The Bachelor of Arts -Linguistics student who was also a class representative allegedly reported back to school on Monday 12th for the last bit of the first semester awaiting his exams from 17th next Monday.

His WhatsApp updates a day before indicated that the student was depressed as seen from a video shared by friends.

“Am traveling…this journey is sweet… and thanks for the fare….dady…mommy…brothers…sister… friends…”

When he was asked by one of his friend about it, he gave confusing replies claiming to be travelling to somewhere without mentioning the name of the destination. His friend responded “Journey mercies bro” not knowing that these were Hosea ‘s last moments on earth.

During the late night hours of Wednesday night at around midnight an ambulance was summoned to the hostels to urgently ferry him to hospital for quick medical attention. This is when the true meaning of ‘Am travelling to somewhere’ begun manifesting.
The young innocent soul was declared dead in the mid-morning hours of Thursday while undergoing medical attention at the Moi Teaching and Refferall Hospital in Eldoret.

He is suspected to have consumed a poisonous substance so as to commit suicide. His body is yet to undergoes a post mortem so as to confirm the suspicion.

It’s suspected that Relationship Problems may have forced him to commit suicide. One of his status viewers reported that he had posted on his WhatsApp status the previous day saying the following words.Love is a scam

Investigations are ongoing to prove the claims and suspicions.
