Moiben MP Prof Phylis Bartoo Joined the Cabinet Secretary For Education Ezekiel Machogu,during the official release of KCSE results at Moi Girls Eldoret.
She aplauded the government for announcing the results outside Nairobi which has been the norm.
“For the first time exams have been announced outside Nairobi , I want to thank the Ministry of Education and KNEC for this initiative,” said Prof Bartoo.
She urged students who will not meet the university threshold to join technical institutions.
” I want to urge those students who will not access university to join technical instituion since one can start with certificate, Diploma, Degree and even be a professor like me. Don’t get discourage since a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step, ” she said.
It is the first time under president William Ruto’s admistration where exams have been released outside Nairobi.
Others present were PS For Basic Education Hon Dr Richard Belio Kipsang,TSC CEO Nancy Macharia, Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii, Senator Jackson Mandago, Deputy speaker Gladys Sholei among other dignitaries.
