Monitoring and Evaluation Team Will be Formed in Every Department-DG Kapkory

A monitoring and evaluation team will be formed in every department of the Trans Nzoia administration to monitor the implementation of the county’s projects, deputy governor Philomenah Kapkory has announced.

According to the DG, monitoring and evaluation provide decision-makers with a way to plan for the sustainability of projects and provide guidance for future efforts. After receiving an IT team from Projtrack who came to her office to demonstrate their technology for monitoring and evaluation, the deputy county chief said that the new administration is committed to ensuring that all project implementations and the execution of development plans are carried out to ensure prudence in resource management.

Developing a monitoring and evaluation system involves a variety of interrelated activities that must be coordinated to plan for M&E, collect and analyze data, report information, and support decision-making and improvement implementation. The county will deploy the latest technology to ensure that M&E is done more effectively.

The results show that monitoring and evaluation have a significant impact on the utility and sustainability of government-funded projects. Therefore, all projects funded by taxpayer money should include monitoring and evaluation,” the DG said.
