Motorcyclist Dies in Head-On Collision with Tractor in Eldoret
A young motorcyclist tragically lost his life on Monday evening following a head-on collision with a tractor that was reportedly driving on the wrong side of the road. The accident occurred at around 7 p.m. near IVC Church on the road leading into Eldoret Town.
Eyewitnesses stated that the tractor, which was not towing a trailer, was traveling against the flow of traffic when it collided with the motorcycle, throwing the rider off the vehicle. The motorcyclist, who was heading towards Eldoret Town, died instantly from the severe injuries sustained in the crash.
The tractor driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, leaving the vehicle behind. As of the latest reports, local authorities had yet to arrive at the scene to secure it and initiate an investigation. No details have been provided regarding the identity of the deceased.
