“MP Oscar Sudi Urges Babu Owino to Show Maturity and Sensitivity Amidst Tragic Loss of 9 Military Officers”
In his capacity as Kapseret Member of Parliament, Oscar Sudi expressed his sentiments regarding the tragic loss of General Francis Ogolla and eight other military officers in a plane crash. Sudi urged Babu Owino, a fellow politician, to demonstrate maturity and sensitivity in handling such misfortunes, cautioning against premature politicization.
Sudi emphasized the need to refrain from hasty conclusions and allow investigators to ascertain the cause of the accident. He highlighted General Ogolla’s esteemed character and urged respect for his legacy, noting his distinguished service as Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF).
Moreover, Sudi addressed speculations surrounding leadership wrangles within the military, refuting claims of contestation in succession. He underscored that General Ogolla would have completed his term peacefully, dismissing notions of interference in military leadership, particularly when the presidency holds authority.
Concluding his statement, Sudi called for empathy and recognition of the significant loss suffered by the nation, urging Babu Owino to refrain from trivializing the tragedy. He appealed for a humane approach in addressing the mourning period for the nine fallen military officers.
