MSEA Strengthens SME Support with Loop Training of Trainers Workshop
In a bid to enhance the support offered to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) recently participated in a dynamic three-day SME Loop Training of Trainers workshop. The workshop, designed to equip trainers with essential skills, focused on the SME Loop business development model, aimed at driving growth and sustainability for SMEs.
The intensive training covered several critical topics that are vital for fostering successful businesses. Participants gained insights into business goal setting, the development of entrepreneurial competencies, and market research using the 5Ps of marketing, illustrated through a Coca-Cola case study. Additionally, the workshop delved into the importance of SWOT analysis and provided tools for effective financial management, including the “financial tree,” a concept designed to help entrepreneurs distinguish between business and family finances.
The event also saw the participation of the Kenya Institute of Education (KIE), highlighting the collaborative effort to build a strong network of trainers who can effectively guide SMEs through the challenges they face.
Under the skilled leadership of Director General and CEO Mr. Henry Rithaa, MSEA continues to prioritize capacity building, ensuring that trainers are well-prepared to support SMEs in their journey towards growth and success.
This training initiative is part of MSEA’s ongoing commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and fostering a thriving SME sector, which is vital to the country’s economic development.
