Moi Teaching & Referral Hospital CEO, Dr. Wilson K. Aruasa EBS and the CEO/Founder, Shoe4Africa Foundation, Toby Tanser today led in dedication of trees planted in memory and honor of the late Hon. William Morogo Saina (Former MP for Eldoret North), his wife the late Ruth Saina and son the late Ian Kipkoech Saina. Commemorative plaques were inscribed accordingly.
The trees were first dedicated in 2013 by the CEO/Founder of Shoe4Africa, Toby Tanser and his wife, Chelimo Saina Tanser in recognition to Hon. Morogo Saina’s service to the people of Uasin Gishu and the larger community during his tenure as the Member of Parliament.
Members of the Saina family, led by John Kimeli Birech, conveyed their gratitude to the CEO Dr. Wilson Aruasa & Toby Tanser for the honor bestowed upon the memory of the late Hon. Morogo.
The Shoe4Africa Foundation CEO, Toby Tanser, appreciated the value of family especially the ones he has found in Kenya including the Sainas, MTRH community and the Children who have consistently been benefiting from the Shoe4Africa Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Aruasa in his remarks while welcoming the dedication, lauded the support MTRH has received from the Shoe4Africa Foundation which realized the construction of the 200-bed Shoe4Africa Children’s Hospital Complex (the only Public Medical & Surgical Children’s Hospital in East & Central African region) including the Eat & Run Kitchen, Kuunga Mkono Classrooms, a basketball court, play area, an artificial football turf as well the Children’s Library.
As at today, there were 230 children from all over the country and neighbouring countries admitted in the Hospital.
Toby continues to support MTRH, including through the upcoming 152-bed Julie Anne Parry Paediatric Cancer Hospital whose groundbreaking is set to happen soon.
