MTRH Football Team Beats Nakuru Senators 1-0
Moi Teaching and Referral Football Hospital Club struggled to the last breath and edged Nakuru Senators 1-0 during Wazee Premier League(WPL) friendly match on Saturday at the Eldoret Sports Stadium.
Erickson Mokaya scored one and only goal that brought victory to the MTRH FC.
MTRH was the host.
Fredrick Towet is the Nakuru Senators’ player,he has said that their game was more possessive.
“Today’s game has been good,we as Nakuru Senators we had a good game,we are not just lucky because if you have seen the game we were possesing the ball 70% ,MTRH got one chance in seven minutes,one header and they scored,they have also admitted themselves,we are used to play on a carpet field but this field has not been favourable for us,”said Towet.
MTRH FC Team Manager Steve Kung’u has said that they are aiming to win the trophy this season.”Last we finished position 4,this year we are aiming to be the champions of this trophy,”said Steve Kung’u.
MTRH FC Manager has urged the county government to sponsor teams of this county.
“Makueni is sponsored by County Government of Makueni,Nakuru Senators is sponsored by the County Government of Nakuru,but here we have not gotten any sponsorship from county government of Uasin Gishu.It has not sponsored any other team,”said Kung’u.
Eldoret Mambuyu won victory of 1-0 against Nakuru Senators where Hezeon Ochieng scored.Eldoret Mambuyu further thrashed Jua Kali Legends 3-1.Mike Khaduli scored the first goal for the side of Mambuyu FC and Lenny Ambetsa scored two goals.
Nakuru Senators sent Jua Kali wailing after winning two goals.
Mambuyu extended their victory by winning one goal against MTRH FC zero.
MTRH FC slightly won against Eldoret Mambuyu where they scored 3-2.
A.C Wote from Makueni County played against Jua Kali Legends FC and ended up with baren draw 0-0.
A.C Wote arrived late and played only one match,there were five teams.
Kung’u has said that they are going to Mombasa coming this Easter weekend,that is 16th and 17th April.The teams that will be present are from Kakamega,Kisumu,Uasin Gishu ,Mombasa among others.
