MTRH TO CONTINUE OFFERING QUALITY HEALTHCARE SERVICES
Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) will continue guaranteeing quality specialized healthcare services to Kenyans from all walks of life, Board Chairman- Mr. Sitoyo Lopokoiyit, has said.
He reiterated that the Board will continue lobbying for more resources to retain the highly-trained and qualified staff at MTRH besides recruiting additional specialists to expand the range of services offered to our patients.
Mr. Sitoyo made the remarks during a Board Retreat being held at a Nakuru Hotel from Monday 23rd May – Friday 27th May, 2022.
The Retreat is focused on adopting 2023-2028 MTRH Strategy and deliberating on other strategic issues.
The theme for the Retreat is: The True North, Purpose and Strategic Positioning of MTRH: “Lessons from the past and continual improvement for the future.”
He observed that the process from strategy formulation to execution should be seamless so the objectives can be realized.
In his remarks, MTRH CEO appreciated the Board for providing strategic direction, support and guidance to MTRH Leadership.
He said strategy execution is about people anchored on the following building blocks; 7 leadership essential behaviors; know your people and business, insist on realism, set clear goals and priorities, follow through, reward the doers, expand people’s capabilities and knowing yourself. Others include; creating a framework for cultural change and a job no leader should delegate-having the right staff for the right job.
“Great leaders across the globe are conscious of people process, strategy process and execution process as the only way towards business sustainability. MTRH will thus utilize it’s limited resources, for Human Resources for Health (HRH) with right skills set, adopting and sustaining quality management systems as well as investing in the right medical equipment and emerging technologies,” Dr. Aruasa said.
He added that MTRH will continue on the journey of realism by setting clear goals and following them through in an environment where Board, Management and Staff share common purpose, Exceptional Healthcare Service Delivery.
The CEO affirmed that the MTRH Strategy document 2023-2028 has incorporated input from all individual staff and stakeholders.
