Mumias East MP Donates 3000 Bicycles to His Constituents

Mumias East member of parliament Peter Salasya has donated 3000 bicycles to his constituents.

Speaking to the press the Mumias East legislator said Cheap and reliable means of transport remains key to the movement of goods, services and people, which is essential for flourishing trade and commerce.

He said with the skyrocketing prices of petroleum products ,which remain beyond the reach of most kenyans, a simpler solution is needed.

“It is with this in mind that I engaged Buffalo Bicycle company, who are my former employers. They were very gracious and acceded to my request for FREE bicycles for the people of Mumias East. I was very excited to join Buffalo Bicycles ,at KMTC grounds, Shianda, to distribute 3000 free bicycles to my people,” he said.

Salasya is serving his first term as Mumias East member of Parliament.

He was elected on a Democratic Action Party – Kenya (DAP-K).

He applauded the Buffalo Bicycles for their support and generosity.

“I also endeavor to bring on board more donors to help in achieving many of the development goals that are crucial to the upliftment of Mumias East.Thanks to ADS ,ministry of education ,county gvt of kakamega and ministry of health,” he noted.

Salasya garnered 12,140 votes to win the seat. His chief rival, David Wamatsi, who ran on Amani National Congress (ANC) party ticket, came in second with 9,043 votes.
