Municipality Keen On A Healthy Human Resource
The Eldoret Municipality has incorporated health partners as it focuses on ensuring healthy and productive personnel.
The Municipality Manager, Tito Koiyet, says, “A healthy staff is a hard-working staff and guarantees optimised human resource productivity.”
The municipality administration hosted a medical team from Mediheal Group of Hospitals comprising a general physician, nurses and an optician, to undertake free health checks and medical advice.
The team, led by Dr Aalifa Khan, pitched a tent at the municipality to conduct a free medical clinic for the staff and Uasin Gishu para-volley team who were in the municipal office campus at the time.
The para-volley contingent is training for the upcoming Governor’s Cup finals and the national para volley trials to be held in Eldoret in May.
Koiyet urged the staff to go for regular checkups to detect and treat illnesses.
In his message delivered by the municipality communication officer, Koiyet also encouraged the players to work hard as sports is part of Nguzo Kumi Agenda of Governor Jonathan Bii’s administration.
The manager said the 64 Stadium complex set to be completed soon will offer state-of-the-art sporting facilities for all the major disciplines.
