After Pope Francis expressed openness to Catholic blessings for same-sex couples, provided they are not confused with marriage ceremonies for men and women, muslim leaders of Rift valley have been saddened by the move considering it as against God’s teachings.

The pope was responding to five cardinals who wanted clarification on same-sex couples ,he therefore call upon people not judge the LGBTGI persons despite of the church considering same sex relationship as objectively sinful.

According to Kenya National Fatwa Council National Deputy Director, Sheikh Abubakar Bini the decision made by the pope was unexpected especially from a honored religious leader.

“As religious leaders from rift valley region we are dissatisfied with his choice which is against religious books since the ancient times, and there is no party discriminating people under LGBTQ but we are not going to calm up on this issue,”said Bini

Bini has therefore called upon African bishops to give their views according to religious set up on the matter without fear of intimidation.

“we urge African bishops to come out and give their opinions if the popes decision is okay or not, judging from the religious scripts for they are the foundation of respecting God,” added Bini.

Reffering to corrections made to the government through the media Bini desires the same to apply to pope’s decision and this should be propelled by organizations representing musilms in kenya.

Other Muslim leaders have spoken out saying that the issue is against every religion and that’s why they come out every time to fight it and they wont give it a chance to dine on Kenyans.
