Mwala MP Applauds the Government For Doing This
Mwala member of Parliament Engineer Vincent Musyoka Musau Kawaya has applauded to the Government for connecting Masii with free WiFi.
“I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the government for their initiative in launching free public WiFi in Masii. This is a commendable step towards bridging the digital divide and ensuring that everyone has access to the internet, regardless of their financial means.
He says the introduction of free public WiFi comes with several significant benefits which incluse enhancing connectivity and provides people with the opportunity to stay connected and communicate with their loved ones, particularly those who cannot afford internet access at home.
“It also opens up a world of knowledge and opportunities for students and researchers who can now easily access educational resources and conduct online studies, ” he said.
He noted that free public WiFi promotes inclusivity in the digital age and enables marginalized communities and economically disadvantaged individuals to access various government services, online job portals, and other essential platforms that they might otherwise struggle to reach.
This initiative empowers citizens by equipping them with the necessary tools to participate in the digital economy, fostering economic growth and development.
“This progressive step not only brings us closer to a more connected society but also significantly contributes to the overall well-being, education, and digital empowerment of citizens, ”
He accompanied Cabinet Secretary ICT Eliud Owalo, Cabinet Secretary Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Dr. Alfred Mutua at the launch of Free Public WiFi at Masii, Mwala.
Other leaders present at the function were the county security team led by Machakos County Commissioner Madam Ouko, Machakos County Government CEC for Sports and Youth Affairs Mr. Kilonzo, Masii MCA Hon. Douglas Musyoka among other leaders.”
