Mwea MP Mary Maingi Launches Initiative for Full Electrification in Constituency
In a significant step towards ensuring universal electricity access in Mwea Constituency, MP Mary Maingi, in partnership with Kenya Power Company Limited, conducted a registration drive for households lacking electricity in Ndaba-Muthatura, Kibukure, and Kianika, located in Kangai Ward.
During the visit, Maingi emphasized her commitment to empowering residents by facilitating their connection to the power grid. “My aim is to ensure every home has access to reliable electricity,” she stated. “This initiative is crucial for enhancing the quality of life for all Mwea residents.”
The registration drive aims to identify households that are currently off the grid, with the goal of connecting them to electricity as part of a broader effort to achieve 100% electrification in the constituency. Maingi’s dedication to this cause highlights her proactive approach to addressing community needs and improving living standards.
Residents expressed optimism about the initiative, recognizing the transformative impact of electricity on daily life, education, and local businesses. As the project unfolds, Maingi remains steadfast in her mission to bring reliable energy to every corner of Mwea.
