Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant David Singoei now says his administration will empower women financially for them to be independent.
Speaking after meeting women of Koshiin and Legetio groups of Kipkenyo and Lemook(kapseret) during my empowerment tour Singoei said empowering women KS empowering the whole nation.
“Once elected as Uasin Gishu governor my main aim be to ensure that women from the County are empowered financialy for themt to start small businesses that will help them earn a living. We want women to be independent where thya can do their own things without depending on their husbands,”said the Uasin Gishu County Assembly Chief whip.
He noted that the empowerment and autonomy of women and the improvement of their political, social, economic and health status is a highly important end in itself.

“It is essential for the achievement of sustainable development. The full participation and partnership of both women and men is required in productive and reproductive life, including shared responsibilities for the care and nurturing of children and maintenance of the household
In all parts of the world, women are facing threats to their lives, health and well- being as a result of being overburdened with work and of their lack of power and influence,” he added.
He called on women to vote him in come 2022 after governor Jackson Mandago completes his second and last term in office.
“I look forward to working with women from all works of life as we seek to uplift livelihoods of everyone in the society, I therefore call on you to vote for me as your governor,” he says.
