My Plans For the People of Kapseret if Elected – Stephen Kipkemboi Yego Arap Kewa
Stephen Kipkemboi Yego Arap Kewa has declared his interest for the Kapseret Parliamentary seat in the forthcoming general elections.
Kewa says his aim is to empower the electorates financially through the creation of job opportunities and ensuring that the CDF funds are used in empowerment.
“I wish to declare that come 2022, I will be vying for the Kapseret Parliamentary seat on an independent party ticket. I am fit to become Member of Parliament for Kapseret due to my vast experience,” said Kewa while speaking to the press.
The seat is currently being held by deputy president William Ruto’s ally Oscar Kipchumba Sudi who is serving his second term as Kapseret MP.
He says he will be vying using an independent party ticket.
“Once elected I Will table a bill in parliament that will facilitate the use of at least 40% of CDF monies in Empowerment, set up Kapseret Empowerment Revolving fund (KERF), and will also use our two main institutions, RIVATEX & Eldoret polytechnic to set up youth empowerment centres like Motorbike assemblies, sportswear and equipment products that will lead to centers of business excellence,” he added.
He said that all CDF works will be will be undertaken by the residents of Kapseret to make sure all the monies remain within the jurisdiction of Kapseret.
“I will work closely with both National and county governments in formulating laws that will expand and facilitate other empowerment projects,” he added.
Concerning Education Kewa says he will ensure that schools in the constituency have improved infrastructure and equipped with state of art equipment.
“There will also be an equal and deserving distribution of bursaries, will establish a Constituency revolving fund to help kids from poor families study without difficulties., establish a resource centre in every ward to bolster research and promote continuous learning and ICT centers in all the wards,” Kewa said.
Concerning unemployment, he says he will lobby for decent jobs for people in the local and international arena.
“Through my vast network and being an outgoing friendly person(not a bully) I will approach all entities to try and get jobs for our people, I will set up youth, women & wazee groups that I will fully empower to enable them to do business and be self-employed and that I will compel entities like RIVATEX , Eldoret Airport, and other institutions within our jurisdiction to avail up to 40% of the job vacancies both skilled and unskilled to the people of Kapseret,” he said.
Kewa noted that he restrict all the CDF projects and jobs to be undertaken by the people of Kapseret Constituency.
“Through consultation & innovation, we can always do extraordinary initiatives with my constituents I will also set up ICT Centres and Resource centers to help our youth search and be connected to jobs both locally & internationally. (Information is power).
He says that he will ensure that electorates have access to government services and goodies.

“We all agree that our Constituency is among the top marginalized jurisdiction as far as government services and goodies are concerned. Its NOT by accident but by design and lack of information. What entails the services ?. I will ensure that there is access to UWEZO Funds & Women Fund, government scholarships, fasttrack electricity connectivity, access to water projects, Jobs , contracts and tenders,” the kapseret Parliamentary aspirant.
He says he will ensure that there is a cordial working relationship with the government in place for the sake and benefit of the people of Kapseret.
“Please elect me. In me, you have a leader. In me, you have a listener and a person who gets things done. I will commit my time and energy to ensure the living standards of people of Kapseret are improved over the 5year term.” he said.
