Nairobi Kicks Off 2nd Africa Smart Cities Summit, Focusing on AI and Innovation

This morning, Nairobi officially opened the 2nd Africa Smart Cities Summit, bringing together a diverse group of leaders, investors, tech innovators, and partners from across the continent. The summit focuses on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and smart technologies in shaping the future of urban development across Africa.

In his opening remarks, Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja highlighted the importance of innovation in addressing the growing challenges faced by African cities. “As urbanization accelerates, the need for sustainable and intelligent solutions has never been more urgent. Nairobi is committed to using smart technologies to improve our city’s infrastructure, services, and quality of life,” Sakaja said.
