Ndindi Nyoro Highlights Key Aspects of FY 2025/26 Budget at Sector Working Groups Launch

Earlier today, Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro, who also chairs the Budget Committee, participated in a significant event marking the launch of the Sector Working Groups for the Fiscal Year 2025/26 and the Medium-Term Budget.

The event was graced by Treasury Cabinet Secretary Hon. John Mbadi, Principal Secretaries Dr. Chris Kiptoo and Mr. John Muhati, Council of Governors Chair Governor Ann Waiguru, alongside various Kenyans and development partners.

In his address, MP Nyoro emphasized the commencement of the budget-making process for the FY 2025/26, underscoring the crucial role that public participation will play in shaping the final budget. He assured Kenyans that their input is not only welcomed but essential for crafting a budget that effectively meets the nation’s needs.

Nyoro highlighted that the primary focus of the upcoming budget will be on channeling resources into sectors with significant growth potential to accelerate economic development. He also emphasized the importance of continuing investments in social programs to ensure balanced and inclusive progress.

“As Africans, it is our responsibility to ensure that our economic strategies align with our development goals,” Nyoro stated. “Africa’s growth is our business, and together we must work towards creating a budget that supports both economic acceleration and social well-being.”

The launch marks the beginning of a collaborative effort to develop a budget that addresses both economic and social priorities, setting the stage for a more prosperous future for Kenya.
