Northrift CIPK Boss Congratulates President Ruto for Launching Hustler Fund

North Rift Council of Imams and Muslim Preachers of Kenya chairman Sheikh Abubakar Bini has congratulated President William Ruto for fulfilling his Hustler Fund promise during the electioneering period.

This comes after President William Ruto on Wednesday launched the hustler fund which is meant to help the common mwananchi.

Ruto described the fund as the key to unlocking the economic equality of all Kenyans.

“I am happy that from today we shall all be equal as Kenyans. This is the fund that is going to equalize all the people of Kenya so that every citizen can know that they matter and they count,” Ruto said.

” First of all we want to congratulate president William Ruto for honoring his promise but we have concerns as members of the Muslim faith, the Almighty Allah is against interest and it is said the hustler fund has an 8% interest rate and this doesn’t sit well with the Islam faith.” Said the North Rift Council of Imams and Muslim Preachers of Kenya chairman.

Advocating for more consultations and inclusions on matters of national interest like the hustler fund, the chairman called on the president to consider all relevant stakeholders to ensure nobody or group is left out in a diverse country like Kenya.

“We would like to plead with the president, in the future when launching such matters with national interest like this, it is wise to make necessary consultations with the Islamic faith council for even Muslims deserve to access such like funds so that it doesn’t go against one’s religious beliefs for the Quran is against interest,” Bini added.
