I have spent the last couple weeks interviewing candidates and I have some insights to share with jobseekers:
Prepare for the interview – know the organization and the interviewers;
During interview – be precise, maintain eye contact, seek clarifications, stay calm, SMILE, thank interviewers at the beginning and at the end;
DON’T BE LATE for interviews;
Carry your laminated certificates in a very neat document organizer.
As for academic qualifications, aspire to get a higher qualification. I have noted that Luos, Kambas and Kalenjins have very good academic qualifications while Mt Kenya and coast communities don’t seem to value education as much. Papers are important, get them.
