Nyakera The Man KEMSA Needed Like Last Year
The Board Chairman of Kenya Medical Supplies Authority the Honorable Irungu Nyakera is the man that Government agency needed like last year .
A former principal Secretary in two high ranking dockets, the Chairman won His Excellency The President’s confidence in him.
He on Monday demonstrated his commitment to restoring the lost Glory of Kemsa saying:
“The move is aimed at making sure that all KEMSA suppliers provided value for money.
He said the move will strengthen KEMSA’s procurement processes and supply chain management to ensure efficiency, fairness, transparency and integrity.
“The board will also review all framework contracts immediately with the aim of eradicating single sourcing, cartelization and monopoly action and ensure that items procured under framework contracting are henceforth procured under standard, transparent procurement practices,” he added.
The Board has also announced that it will audit all staff within two weeks even as it places employees on performance contracts.
