Optiven Rolls Out “Mobility That Brings a Smile” Initiative
Optiven Group Founder and Chief Executive Officer George Wachiuri has called upon Kenyans to extend a hand of generosity this festive season.
The Optiven Foundation has been doing some amazing work in restoring dignity to the differently-abled by gifting them a wheelchair under the Mobility that Brings Smiles initiative. The Foundation has been able to offer hundreds of wheelchairs mto needy cases and has further identified many more cases that require intervention.
In a midmorning show in Inooro TV, Wachiuri underscored the need to always be our brother and sisters keeper remembering the orphans, widows and the vulnerable.
“As Optiven, we hive off at least five percent of our revenue to assist the less fortunate in the societies. We have been supporting the persons with disabilities in giving them wheelchairs in order to facilitate their mobility. By donating to our cause, you can help us spread joy and touch more lives. Every contribution counts, and every wheelchair gifted is a step towards restoring dignity to the differently abled”
Once the differently abled receive the wheelchairs, they smile, manifesting their joy.
As Optiven Foundation, we feel the need to have this project that mobility that brings a smile.
Over and above that we support education scholarships to more than 600 needy students.
We have also been supporting decarbonisation and embracing green energy.
I urge the companies and corporates to set aside a small percentage for charity. I urge entrepreneurs to go to the grassroots, especially members of our Real Estate Stakeholders Association led by our Chairman Kinyua Wairatu to follow suit and make sure they positively impact somebody’s life.
