Uasin Gishu Kikuyu spokesperson Mzee Kimani Gatonye was finally laid to rest.
Governor Bii deacribed ehe deceased as a remarkable and courageous leader who embodied the true spirit of a Kenyan patriot.
“He served as the spokesperson for the Kikuyu community in Uasin Gishu County and played a vital role in fostering unity and advocating for the well-being of his people,” he said
He noted that Mzee Gatonye’s unwavering commitment to his community and our county as a whole will forever be etched in our hearts with deep admiration and respect.
“His legacy will serve as a timeless source of inspiration for all of us,” he added.
Present were, Hon. Gladys Shollei (Women Representative), Chief Administrative Secretary Hon. Ann Wanjiru, Hon. Philip Muigei (County Assembly Speaker), Hon. Joseph Wainaina (Nominated MP), Dr. Eddyson Nyale (County Commissioner) Kikuyu elders, and numerous Members of the County Assembly.
